This month saw me at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Manchester. I had been awarded a stand in the Graduate section on the merits of my graduate work.

After graduating in the summer, September saw me setting up my first woodturning studio in Sandbach, Cheshire. It was a shock when my new wood lathe arrived in lots of pieces. I hadn’t anticipated having to build it up myself, but what better way to get to know it.

Well my open weekend went very well, with lots of lovely visitors to chat to. it was also really great having Jane there with her weaving. Our work complemented each other very well. It is a shame I didn’t take any photos, i am not as yet a practiced hand at blogging and such, so forgot.

The Cheshire Open studios exhibition at Raw Sienna in Knutsford went well for me too, selling all the items I took there in the week it was on.
