Hello and Welcome to Prior and Heath. We are a family run business based in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire.

Originally we started as a kitchen table top business and within 2 years had to look for larger premises as we had outgrown our kitchen. We moved into our unit nicknamed The Bubble in Vantage Point Business Village in Mitcheldean. This was ideal for us as we were a) able to reclaim our kitchen back and b) its a short walk to The Bubble so no nasty petrol bills.

We make our soap using the traditional cold process method none of that melt and pour soap for us. We make each bar by hand and from scratch - it’s a bit like making a cake you put all your carefully selected oils in a mixing bowl and mix away until you’re ready to add your Essential oils for fragrance - we never use an artificial fragrance or an artificial ingredient in our bars as we like our soaps to be kind and gentle to sensitive skin.

We started by making soaps then moved onto shampoo bars, shave bars, bath salts, lip balms, bath melts, room sprays, candles and our latest venture reed diffusers. These products will start appearing on Made by Hands of Britain over the next few weeks.
