Sterlingham soap and sponge baskets and bath-racks are amongst the most labour intensive in our collection. The basket “wires” are individually hand bent and checked for square and alignment. Lathe turned balls and rods are fully hand polished before being assembled and soldered together. Then there follows final polishing to remove heat staining, followed by electroplating in a choice of finishes. There are more hand soldered joints in one of our bath-racks than in our office heating system. |
| Our bath-racks have extendable side rests. We can make to your bespoke size if required, and also accommodate any design preferences eg deeper or shallower baskets. Our Bathrack with Mirror features a rotating two sided framed mirror, one side magnifying 3X. |  |

Our bathroom mirrors are fully encased within their tilting frames, just as they were made in the early 20th century. We have oval and round frames or square and rectangular frames, the latter can be made bespoke to your sizes. The materials and methods used to create our tilting bathroom mirrors have not changed in over a century. Hand mitred corners on our square and rectangular mirror frames are silver soldered. We source the best distortion-free mirror glass, 6mm thick (1/4”) and specify a 25mm (1”) bevel around its edge. The mirror's beauty is complemented by a tilt and lock mechanism. We are able to produce our rectangular mirrors bespoke to your specific required measurements and finishing. The standard rectangular model shown here has a frame measuring 762mm high by 610mm wide (30” x 24”). The overall width including the wall mounting brackets is 710mm (28”). |

Sterlingham shelves can be made bespoke. The standard size is 610mm (24”) wide and is fitted with 6mm thick glass and a hinged guard rail which can be lifted for easy cleaning of the 6mm thick glass. Our glass Shelf features a guard rail which is hinged at the back. This allows the glass to be more easily wiped clean.
